AmeboChef helps users plan meals, save preferences, manage subscriptions, and access AI-powered cooking assistance. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the third parties that process it for us.

Information we collect

• Account information such as your email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and profile metadata returned by supported sign-in providers such as Google or Apple.
• App data such as onboarding answers, favorite meals, weekly plans, grocery lists, recipe reviews, cooking feedback, and AI Kitchen prompts and responses.
• Notification-related data such as reminder preferences, device or push subscription identifiers, and app events needed to deliver notifications when you opt in.
• Subscription and support data such as RevenueCat customer records, store product identifiers, subscription status, account deletion requests, and support-related requests submitted through the app or website.
• Analytics and diagnostics needed to understand app usage, improve product quality, investigate abuse, and maintain service reliability.

How we use your information

• To create, secure, and maintain your account.
• To personalize meal plans, grocery lists, recipe discovery, and cook-mode experiences.
• To provide AI cooking features, including ingredient-based suggestions and in-context cooking help.
• To process subscriptions, restore Pro access, and handle support, billing, and account deletion requests.
• To deliver optional reminders and notifications when you enable them.
• To monitor service reliability, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

AI features

When you use AI-powered features, the prompts, meal context, and related request data needed to answer your question may be sent through our backend to Google Gemini. This processing is used to generate meal suggestions and cooking assistance. Avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive personal information in AI prompts.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, AmeboChef and its notification providers may process device identifiers, push subscription identifiers, app preferences, and reminder settings so we can deliver meal reminders and service updates.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, while RevenueCat synchronizes purchase state for AmeboChef. AmeboChef does not store your full card or bank details. Review the relevant store privacy information at apple.com/legal/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.

Service providers

We use third-party services including Supabase for authentication and database storage, Cloudflare Workers for backend processing, Google Gemini for AI responses, PostHog for product analytics, OneSignal for notification delivery, RevenueCat for subscription management, and Apple App Store / Google Play for subscription billing.

International processing

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. When that happens, your information is handled under the provider arrangements that support delivery of the AmeboChef service.

Data retention

We keep your account data while your account remains active. If you delete your account, we remove personal data associated with it, subject to any lawful retention obligations for fraud prevention, tax, accounting, or other compliance records.

Your choices

You can request deletion from the AmeboChef app through Account → Delete account. You can manage notification preferences inside the app, and subscription management is handled through the in-app store-backed subscription flow.
